Run the Right Direction

Sometimes people flee the wrong direction or to the wrong thing for help or safety. Drugs and alcohol are entrap and enslave. Pornography does likewise. They both reduce access to the Spirit and thus to good decisions and to light and seeing things as they really are. More hours at work can be a welcome distraction, but it does not solve what needs solving or heal what needs healing. Wealth and prestige are not the solution either.

The greatest safety, help, and joy come from turning to God and living as He wants us to live. Fleeing to God and to His commandments is the only sure way for help and safety.

Don’t run from God and His ways. Run to Jesus. As it has been written, He is mighty to save. (For example, see Isaiah 1:1; Alma 7:14.) His arms are open wide to receive us.
