The Fall and Our Falls

Adam and Eve get blamed for the Fall. If they had not partaken of the forbidden fruit, we would not live in a fallen world where we are susceptible to sin. Of course, we wouldn’t have been born at all.

The atonement of Jesus Christ, or we could simply say, Jesus Christ redeems us from The Fall, meaning the fall of Adam and Eve and of this world. But notice that Adam and Eve fell even before they lived in a fallen world. They were influenced by Satan and succumbed to him even before The Fall.

We need to be redeemed from more than just THE FALL, or Adam and Eve’s Fall; a singular, or almost singular event. We need to be redeemed from our own falls. Herein is agency and accountability. Herein we are masters of our own fate.
